Limb loss can have an effect on everyone involved, including family members and caregivers. The need for support is not just for the individual but for those in an amputee's life. There are a number of places to get support for yourself.

    The Family Caregiver Alliance supports and sustains the important work of families nationwide caring for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions.

  • The National Alliance for Caregiving – www.caregiving.org

    The National Alliance for Caregiving is a non-profit coalition of national organizations focusing on issues of family caregiving. Alliance members include grassroots organizations, professional associations, service organizations, disease-specific organizations, a government agency, and corporations.

    The Well Spouse Association is support for spousal caregivers. They provide peer support and education about the special challenges and unique issues facing "well" spouses.​
